Article Q0312

Do I need to run sendmail with the UNIX version of GMS?

Answer:
No. In fact, sendmail must be disabled in order for GMS to provide mail services on Unix.

Like sendmail, GMS Mail contains an SMTP service and will process large quantities of email.

Unlike sendmail, GMS includes a POP3 server, IMAP4 server, web server, virus scanning and anti-spam options.
